A DAY TO CHANGE THE WORLD SATURDAY JUNE 25, 1994 June 25, 1994, is scheduled to be the concluding day of the massive Global Consultation on World Evangelization (GCOWE '94 ) which will bring together over 5,000 high level leaders from around the world under the auspices of the AD 2000 and Beyond Movement. The prayer events to take place on this day will include: 1. Individual Prayer--One million intercessors from around the world, previously committed to pray for the global harvest, will pray for at least one hour for GCOWE '94. 2. Prayer Groups--In at least 200 cities of the world, intercessory groups will terminate 40-day fasts on that day, ending with a prolonged session of prayer. 3. Prayer for unreached peoples In at least 50 countries, national prayer groups previously committed to intercession for the evangelization of the unreached people groups in their own country will meet for at least three hours of prayer and fasting. 4. Prayer for Nations--In 120 countries, prayer groups previously formed to focus on the DAWN strategy will meet for at least three hours of prayer and fasting. 5. Local Churches--At least 5,000 local churches will commit themselves to conducting all-night prayer meetings on behalf of GCOWE '94 beginning Friday evening, June 24, 1994, and praying until after sunrise on June 25th. At least 2,500 local churches outside of Korea will conclude 30 consecutive days of Korean-style pre-dawn prayer meetings for world evangelization. 6. Prayer for Neighborhoods--In 5,000 neighborhoods of the world prayer teams, previously identified and experienced, will conduct neighborhood prayer. 7. City-wide Prayer--In the afternoon and evening 1,000 Concerts of Prayer will meet for at least 2 hours with each one concentrating on one of the 1,000 of the world's least evangelized cities. In at least 5,000 cities which do not as yet have established Concerts of Prayer, city-wide prayer rallies would be convened. At least 25 million Christians will be on the streets on June 25, declaring the Lordship of Christ over their cities and nations. Interdenominational Marches-for-Jesus will be held in every capital city of the world plus hundreds of other cities, each beginning at 2:00 pm. This means that for an unbroken period of 24 hours Christians of all stripes will be out on city streets singing praises to God together. 8. Prayer for Continents--Units of green beret-quality intercessors will convene at each of the 24 "Cardinal Points" of the world that day with all-day engagements in strategic-level spiritual warfare for the evangelization of all six continents.
