Welcome to the July-October 1997 Directory for Mission Frontiers, the bulletin of the U.S. Center for World Mission. In this issue we feature the amazing changes the have taken place in the missions work of the Southern Baptist denomination. The International Mission Board, previously known as the the Foreign Mission Board has made some major shifts to focus more closely on unreached peoples worldwide. Also we report on what happened at GCOWE '97, and discuss the upcoming praying and giving campaigns for the 10/40 Window.

They are the largest Protestant denomination in the world with over 15 million members. Their missionaries cover the globe with an historic record of missionary outreach spanning over 150 years. William Carey, in 1806, thought that it would be a good idea if all of the missionaries in the world were to meet together four years later at the Cape of Good Hope in South Africa, in 1810. It took 191 years, but William Careys dream of a global missionary meeting in South Africa became a reality at GCOWE 97 in July. Learn what was accomplished.
